Empowering Youth, Fostering Sustainability.

STEAMpact Foundation, Inc. began in November 2022 as a grassroots effort to bring hands-on science experiments to Angolan classrooms, sparked by the vision of Cátia Dombaxe. Incorporated as a nonprofit in January 2024, we are driven by a mission to empower underserved communities across Sub-Saharan Africa through transformative education, innovation, and sustainable development.

At STEAMpact Foundation, our work is guided by the Ubuntu philosophy, a profound African ethos that emphasizes humanity, interconnectedness, and community. Ubuntu—"I am because we are"—shapes our approach to education, leadership, and sustainability. It inspires us to foster respect, dignity, compassion, and collaboration in all that we do, ensuring that our initiatives reflect a shared purpose and collective responsibility. By nurturing a sense of belonging and mutual support, we aim to empower individuals and communities to thrive together, creating lasting, meaningful change rooted in unity and empathy.

Our initiatives span five impactful programs:

Comunidade Ubunye Project: Delivering extracurricular STEM education to underserved youth through partnerships with local schools and communities.

EducateHer Initiative: Equipping women with knowledge in reproductive health, financial literacy, and leadership to foster personal and societal transformation.
EmpowerHer Initiative: Addressing gender disparities in agriculture by training women farmers in sustainable practices, leadership, and intergenerational knowledge transfer.
ImpactHere Initiative: Connecting diverse professionals with communities to inspire career growth and broaden educational and professional horizons.
STEAMpact Medical Exchange Program (SMEP): Bridging global knowledge gaps by connecting Angolan and U.S. medical professionals through mentorship, collaborative research, and advanced virtual platforms.

Through these programs, we aim to cultivate a generation of innovators, leaders, and problem-solvers equipped to tackle global challenges. By supporting educators and farmers with tools and training, we promote sustainability and ensure that knowledge and skills are passed on for lasting impact.
